Why does Grind and Seal wait 28 days and some other companies only wait a week or two before polishing?

We prefer to wait 28 days because that is how long it takes for the concrete to cure properly. We want to ensure we give your floor the very best, cleanest and sharpest finish possible, and it is essential to give concrete the full 4 weeks to cure. We are extremely focused on ensuring exceptional quality in every stage of our work, and that is why we purchase all of our grinding tools, diamonds and equipment from top-quality Australian suppliers. We only use products made with the hardest materials to ensure that we can use them to grind into cured concrete of all mpa strengths. While some companies only wait a week, choose to polish earlier when the concrete is still soft and purchase cheaper equipment that can only handle softer concrete, this kind of practice can put the floor at risk. Softer floors will be less resistant to damage and will have less durability. Thus, while the 28 day period requires us to wait a little while, the results are worth the wait. At Grind and Seal, we never put our clients’ slabs at risk and we only like to deliver the very best finish available.
