Should the standard grind and seal finish (using topical sealers) be sanded or ground back when it’s time to refresh?

If you have your floor refreshed when you first start to notice areas that may look a little worn, such as in hallways and other high traffic areas, a sand-back and reseal is probably all that will be required to refresh your floor. However, if you leave it until the topical sealers have worn through to the concrete, then your floor may require a full regrind, re-grout and reseal, due to having left it too long. The old saying ‘a stitch in time saves nine’ is never truer than in this scenario. The best time to set up services to refresh your floor is as soon as you notice that your floor is starting to look worn.
